The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of July 5-11. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 3:42 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, Nicholas Brown, 46, of Las Vegas, Nev., was arrested for DUI, interfering with judicial proceedings and disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of State Route 260 in Overgaard for a report of an intoxicated subject. Brown was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 12:23 p.m. on Saturday, Derek Heape, 39, of Phoenix, was cited and released for driving on a suspended/revoked/canceled license following a traffic stop on State Route 260 at milepost 309 in Heber.
