The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of April 26 – May 2. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, John Bacon, 55, of Overgaard, was arrested for failure to comply with a court order after deputies made contact with Bacon in Overgaard. Bacon was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 11:54 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, Rey Luna, 26, of Surprise, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 260 near milepost 299 in Heber.
At 1:17 p.m. on Thursday, Kevin Oleary, 76, of Kodiak, Alaska, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 260 near milepost 300 in the Heber area.
At 3:20 p.m. on Thursday, Shawn Arvayo, 54, of Mesa, was cited and released for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on State Route 260 near milepost 300 in the Heber area.
