Snowflake began this season much like last year, with a 0-3 loss to Gilbert Christian. The Lobos recovered from that loss in fine form last year; now they have another chance to bounce back.
The Knights controlled the match from the outset, winning the first game 25-11. They took control with a 25-26 win in game two, then closed out the match with a 25-22 game three win.
Snowflake will try and bounce back on Tuesday with a trip to face Tuba City in what will be the Warriors’ first regular-season match of the season.
Snowflake will play in the Tournament of Champions hosted by Westwood this coming weekend. Friday, they are slated to face Deer Valley, Mountain View Mesa, Thatcher, and Valley Christian. On Saturday, they will see Shadow Ridge and Saguaro before entering bracket play.
On Sept. 11, the team travels to Chandler to face Valley Christian, the only other team to beat them in regular season play last season.
