The Lady Lobos will be under the direction of a new coach, Alicia LaDuke when they take to the court to open their 2025 season. The team will travel to face Gilbert Chrisitian on Wednesday. The Knights were one of just two teams to beat the Lobos in regular season action last year. Snowflake put together a 15-2 regular season campaign, then advanced to the 3A state semi-finals before losing to the eventual state champion Valley Christian Trojans.
This year Snowflake has eight seniors, two juniors, and just one sophomore on what is one of the most veteran teams in the 3A east. Another deep playoff run is certainly expected for the Lobos.
Following their opening match at Gilbert Christian, they will travel to Tuba City on Sept. 2. Their first tourney will be the Tournament of Champions hosted by Westwood on Sept. 5 and 6.
