Henry T. “Hank” Salazar (Army veteran) was born Sept. 10, 1945, in Winslow, and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Nov. 21, 2024, in Prescott.
Hank, as many knew him by, grew up and graduated high school in Holbrook before being drafted to the United States Army. Hank loved sports and was an accomplished basketball athlete during his high school years. Hank enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and in his later years taking drives around town, parking, and taking in the views with his partner in crime (his wife).
Hank is survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia “Blues” (Ulibarri) Salazar; daughters, Dominique Salazar and NoraJean Salazar (Pedro); and grandchildren, Zackarey Lee, Lacey Lee and Alysia Salazar. Hank will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our deepest appreciation to Hank’s nephew, Father Richard “Rick” Wallace (serving out of Australia) for praying with Hank in his last days and final hours for a peaceful journey home.
