The City of Winslow has announced that Chief of Police Franklin Caldwell will retire, effective Nov. 22. Chief Caldwell, who has served in law enforcement for 35 years, joined the Winslow Police Department in February 2024 following a multi-month search and interview process.
“We want to thank Chief Caldwell for his service to the City of Winslow and wish him a wonderful and well-deserved retirement,” the city administration stated in a press release.
Until an interim or acting chief of police is appointed, the point of contact for police matters will be Patrol Lieutenant Ernie Cano.
