The Lobo boys soccer team won their only match played last week earning a 4-1 road win at Round Valley. That win moved them to 3-1 in regular season matches. They enter this week tied with St. Johns, Blue Ridge and Holbrook who are all 1-0 in region play. The Lobos currently have the best conference record with their 3-1 mark.
After hosting Payson on Monday for their only game this week, they will have time to prepare for back-to-back games with Holbrook and Show Low on Oct. 2 and 3.
The Lady Lobos are now 3-2 on the season after splitting two contests last week. Playing in Show Low on Tuesday, they came up short in a 1-5 loss. The following day they made up for that loss with an 11-3 road win at Chino Valley.
This week the team also plays twice. After traveling to Winslow on Monday, they return home to face Northland Prep on Tuesday. Next week they host Holbrook on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader with the boys team, then will take part in the Chino Cup Girls tournament on Oct. 4 and 5.
