Jarrett Brooks

On the one-year anniversary since the disappearance of then 16-year-old Jarrett Brooks, law enforcement, family, friends and community are still seeking answers as to where the boy has gone and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

Jarrett was reported missing from his Joseph City home to law enforcement by his parents, Brian and Laura Brooks on the morning of July 4, 2023. According to the Brooks, Jarrett left his home on foot without their knowledge after a disagreement the night before, with the last known sighting a short time later when two nearby farmers claimed to have seen the boy crossing a field carrying a pistol. Since that time, despite numerous searches by law enforcement and residents, no evidence has been revealed as to the boy’s whereabouts.

Last week, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office released the following press release:

It has been one year since Jarrett Brooks was last seen in the Joseph City area. During the past 366 days, our detectives have received countless tips, information, and possible sightings of Jarrett.
