The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of Nov. 19 – Dec. 2. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 7:39 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, Jason Smith, 36, of Overgaard, was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 2500 block of Caprice Trail in Heber for a report of a disorderly call. Smith was booked into the Navajo County Jail. At 12:56 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, Andrea Chaney, 48, of Heber, was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 2900 block of Skylark Drive in Heber for a report of a disorderly subject. Chaney was booked into the county jail. At 6:14 p.m. on Monday, Gabriel Carrillo, 25, of Mesa, was cited and released for criminal speeding in the 2900 block of State Route 260 in Heber. At 9:19 p.m. on Monday, Martin Cruz, 49, of Maricopa, was arrested for assault and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol content of .15% or more after deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Cross Country Road in Heber for reports of an assault. Cruz was booked into the county jail. At 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, Ricky Brewer, was arrested for failure to appear after deputies made contact with Brewer in the 2000 block of Thousand Pines Drive in Overgaard. Brewer was booked into the county jail.
