Residents of the City of Holbrook came out in force to welcome the holidays on Nov. 28, with the lighting of the city tree at Gillespie Park, enjoy hot chocolate, good foods, merchandise vendors and a special visit by Santa Claus. Behind the scenes residents Mark and Lori Romo organized the tree lighting event with the assistance of Holbrook Chamber Director Cindy Tafoya and Mayor Kathleen Smith. This week is another big one for Holbrook with the Festival of Trees from Thursday through Saturday, and the Parade of Lights on Saturday.
