On Senior Night on Feb. 8, senior Bulldogs Blaine Begay, Kalieb Begaye, Adrian Apachito, Brennon Begaye, Noah Nez, Cody Fisher and Jordon Dixon were escorted on to the court by their parents prior to the game against the Longhorns of Payson.
In the first quarter, both teams would each score 20 points to keep it even. In the second, the Bulldogs would hold the Longhorns to just four points while they scored 15, making the halftime score Payson 24 and Winslow 35.
In the third quarter the Bulldogs would hold a six-point led even though the Longhorns outscored them 24 to 19. In the fourth quarter, the Longhorns outscored the Bulldogs 13 to 10, making the final score Payson 65, Winslow 63.
Winslow had one player in double figures Blaine Begay with 26 points with six three-point shots.
In the final game of the season for the Bulldogs they traveled to Show Low to face the Cougars on Feb. 9.
In the first quarter the Bulldogs would jump out scoring 18 points to the Cougars 6. In the second quarter both teams would trade baskets each score 14 points for a halftime score Winslow 32 and Show Low 20.
In the third quarter the Bulldogs would edge the Cougars by outscoring them by just one point 17 to 16 and in the fourth, the Cougars would make a run outscoring the Bulldogs 22 to 14, closing out the game with a final score of Winslow 63 and Show Low 58.
Winslow had three players in double figures led by Blaine Begay with 22 points and four three-point shots, Kasey Monroe with 15 points and two three-point shots, and Isaac David with 11 points.
