Agustin Reynoso Jr. made his way to the spirit world on Jan. 11, 2023, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He was born May 14, 1984, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Gloria De Jesus Santiago and the late Agustin Reynoso Sr. When Agustin was 10 years old, he moved to Manhattan, N.Y., with his father and stepmother where he began his life as a United States citizen. Unfortunately, when Agustin was 20 years old his father passed away unexpectedly and he moved in with a family who graciously took him in as their own, Raymond and Denise Caparla who continue to live in New York City. On Nov. 20, 2006, Agustin moved to Arizona to start his life with his girlfriend, whom he married on April 14, 2012. In March 2018 they welcomed a healthy baby boy, who adored his dad. Agustin enjoyed doing exercises, playing wrestling (often doing the Rock Bottom or Chokeslam) with his son. Agustin was a proud father, always excited to tell others about what his son can do or something new he learned. Agustin was always happy and joking around with others. He had a great sense of humor and could be seen smiling from a distance. He knew and talked to many people and often left his mark with his personality. Agustin worked at Arizona Department of Corrections where he got along with everyone. He never hesitated to work overtime and was always willing to help others. He would also joke with inmates in a positive manner. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, his only child, his parents and three younger sisters in New York, his mother, two older sisters, and one older brother who continue to live in Dominican Republic. He is preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandmothers. Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 13, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winslow, with burial at Desert View Cemetery.
