Roger Thomas Gishie Jr. of Holbrook passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, in Midland Texas. He was 47. Roger was born on Aug. 8, 1975, in Winslow to Roger and Lena Gishie. He was the oldest of two. He had one brother, Alexander Gishie. He was a 1993 graduate from Holbrook High School. He married his high school sweetheart Nicole Duran on May 2, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nev. He worked as a dedicated car salesman all over the state of Arizona. Roger truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, playing slow pitch softball, cornhole, hanging out with family and friends, snacking, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Roger has an ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. He is survived by his wife, Nicole; his oldest daughter Jade, middle daughter Jalynn, youngest son Skylar; two granddaughters, Riley and Ellie; mother, Lena Gishie; father, Roger Gishie; brother, Alexander; niece, Jolisa Benton who he raised as one of his own; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Family, friends and others whose lives Roger touched are invited to the Elks Lodge, located at 714 Elkdom Ave. in Holbrook, at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, for the funeral service to reminisce, grieve and support each other. Burial to follow in Holbrook City Cemetery. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
