By Greg Perkins The Lady Wildcats went 2-1 in a busy week of action last week. They started the week in a tough way on Tuesday with a 47-20 beatdown by St. Johns. The following night things went much better with a 51-40 road win over rival Mogollon. The Cats started well building a five-point lead at the end of one, then extended that to seven at the half. They won the second half by four points to secure the 11-point win. April Neil led the way in scoring with 18 points. Gabrielle Jesmer added 17, Abigayle Smith and Kadence Armstrong each had 8. Hosting a good Fort Thomas team on Friday, the Wildcats prevailed 59-53 earning a valuable powerpoint contest over the Apaches. The team will now be off until Jan. 4 when they host Veritas Prep. On the 5th they will travel to Hayden. The Lady Wildcats are currently 11-5 overall and 5-1 in regular season contests.
