Benny Gonzales, 75, passed away on Dec. 8, 2022, in Winslow. He was born on May 15, 1947, to Lupe S. and Margarita Gonzales in Winslow. The viewing will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel. Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Madre de Dios Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow in Desert View Cemetery. Benny enjoyed cooking, fishing and taking care of everybody. He loved his boys (Dickie and Mario). He also loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Benny is survived by his son, Mario (Jessica) Gonzales (Paloma, Mario, Alicia, Sophia, Maricella and Amatiel); daughter, Michelle Gonzales (Margarita, Michael, Johnny, Renee and Benjamin Gonzales); sister, Betty (Hank) Garcia; brother, Frank Gonzales; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lupe and Margarita; son, Richard “Dickie” Gonzales; grandson, Richard A. Gonzales; brothers, Rudy Gonzales and Gibby Gonzales; and sister, Priscilla Milligan. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
