The Lady Wildcats added three wins to their total last week with victories over Ash Fork, Valley Sanders and Lincoln Prep. Hosting Ash Fork on Monday, the Spartans really had no answer for this year’s talented Joseph City squad. The Wildcats won the contest 51-14.
Thursday’s game at Valley Sanders was much closer. Valley typically has a talented team and they are tough to beat on their home floor. Joseph City got the job done by six points with a 47-41 tough road win.
Saturday’s long trip to Chandler to face the Lightning from Lincoln Prep was a more comfortable victory with Joseph City prevailing 48-25 pushing their overall season mark to 5-1.
This week they will be in action at the Round Valley Roundball Tournament. Two pool games on Thursday will be against Cibecue and Alchesay. Friday’s first bracket contest will be a match-up with the host team Round Valley.
On Tuesday, Joseph City will return to regular season action with a trip to St. Johns. On Wednesday next week, they have the first of two matchups with rival Mogollon. This time it will be in Heber.
