The Holbrook Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of its annual community awards with Brian Reid selected as Holbrook’s Man of the Year and Nicole Young as Woman of the Year. According to Holbrook Chamber of Commerce Director Cindy Tafoya, Reid has led efforts to bring positive activities to the kids in the community through Little League and organizing the annual Easter Egg Hunt for the community. He is working to raise funds to improve the ballfield where the kids play. When there is something going on in Holbrook, Young will likely be there as a volunteer, coordinator or vendor. Her positive attitude about making Holbrook a better place and participating in all Holbrook does have is admirable. She supports various causes but is best known for coordinating the local blood drive each year. She is very much appreciated for all she does. Both Reid and Young will be this year’s grand marshals for the Holbrook Parade of Lights to be held this Saturday. Other winners include Kelly Hill for Youth of the Year, Navajo County Fair and Rodeo Director Michelle Stock and Fair Board for Organization of the Year and Tractor Supply for Business of the Year.
