Joseph City’s back-and-forth season continued on Friday with a 47-26 road win at Mayer. The Wildcats have just one two-game win streak in their 4-2 season through the first six games. This week they will be tested when they host an unbeaten Williams team.
The Vikings defeated Mayer 67-8 two weeks ago. The outcome vs that common opponent doesn’t bode well for the Wildcats. They are going to have to perform well to avoid seeing their see-saw season taking a loss on Friday night. Following that game, Joseph City has just two regular-season games left on their docket. A home game with Fredonia followed by a huge rivalry matchup in Heber on Oct. 14, the outcome of which may determine Joseph City’s post-season fate.
