William L. Mewhinney William L. Mewhinney was born in Holbrook on Sept. 24, 1950, to William B. Mewhinney and Pauline Garcia Mewhinney. He passed away suddenly at his home in Tucson on Feb. 3, 2022. He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1969. He worked various jobs before going to work at BNSF railroad where he worked for the next 33 years. He is survived by his wife, Debbie of 47 years; son, William S. Mewhinney; daughter, Roxane Mewhinney; grandchildren, Jake, Jeffery and Jaci Wilson, and Ambrosia Mewhinney; brothers, Mike (Lisa) Mewhinney, Richard (Mary Kaye) Mewhinney; sister, Star (Larry) Turley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline Mewhinney; and brothers, John and Earl Mewhinney. Services are pending.
