The Lady Lobos are riding a nine-game winning streak as they enter the final week of the regular season. They earned three of those wins last week helping them move up the ladder in the 3A rankings.

Snowflake was ranked eighth before beating up on Payson on Friday then taking down second ranked Page on Saturday. While the Longhorn win won’t help them much in the standings the win over the Sand Devils could potentially move them inside or near the top five heading into this final week.

The Ladies defeated Winslow on Monday last week by a final of 56-42. They downed Payson on Friday 66-32, then upset second ranked Page on Saturday by a final of 49-43.

Three games are on tap for the final week of the regular season. They will play at Blue Ridge on Tuesday, then host Winslow on Wednesday and Holbrook on Friday.

If the Lobos can maintain their current streak, they should be a top eight seed in the upcoming state tournament and receive a first-round bye. If they land outside the top eight, they should still be assured of hosting a first-round game on Tuesday the 15th.

Snowflake is 11-4 in regular season contests and they are 13-8 overall this year.
