Rivalry games are always highly competitive and when the Lady Wildcats and Mustangs met in Heber last Tuesday, fourth-ranked Joseph City had their 13-game winning streak snapped with a 54-48 road loss to the seventh ranked Mustangs.
Playing at Mayer the following day the Lady Wildcats started a new winning streak with a 46-29 win over their namesakes. They pushed that new streak to two games on Saturday with a dominating 48-9 road win over the North Valley Christian Lady Lions.
Joseph City is currently 18-3 overall and 10-1 in regular-season games. They will play at Seligman on Tuesday, then host a very good Fort Thomas team on Friday, and welcome in Williams on Saturday. Next Wednesday they host Red Mesa.
