The Lady Wildcats returned from the Christmas break with two easy wins last week. Hosting Basis Flagstaff on Tuesday, they cruised past the Yeti 62-12.
On Saturday they traveled to Grand Canyon where they met a little more resistance but not much. Joseph City took a 21-6 lead over the Phantoms in the first then increased that margin to 35-16 at the half. They doubled up the home team in the second half en route to a comfortable 30-point win at 57-27.
Those two wins keep the team unbeaten in regular season play with an 8-0 record. They were ranked second in the first 1A rankings which were released on Wednesday of last week.
This week they have three games on the docket. After playing in Mogollon on Tuesday, they will travel to Mayer on Wednesday. Saturday afternoon they will be in North Valley Christian to face the Lady Lions. Next Tuesday another long trip awaits as they head to Seligman.
The Lady Wildcats are 16-2 overall thus far this season.
