Georgianna M. Lloyd
Our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, Nina, Georgianna M. Lloyd passed away peacefully in her home on Nov. 30, 2021, in Laughlin, Nev. She was 82.
She was born to Matias and Margaret Montoya on Sept. 1, 1939, in McNary. She lived in Holbrook and moved to Henderson, Nev., in 1970. Mom also lived in Boulder City, Nev., from 2012 until she moved to Laughlin, Nev., to live with her daughter and son-in-law in 2020.
Our mom meant everything to us and we meant everything to her. She loved and gave unselfishly with all her heart. She was always there to listen and was always so proud of all of us. She was happiest when she was with her family. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for any of us.
Mom loved to play Bingo and watch the Dodgers and old Westerns. It made her so happy to watch the grandkids in whatever event they had going on.
She was a member of the Culinary Union and worked at the Eldorado Casino in Henderson for over 20 years. She started as a food server and retired as a cashier supervisor.
Mom is survived by her children, Mike Ulibarri (Betty), Delano Ulibarri, Laura Renee Gerleman (predeceased) and Amanda Ragone (Ted).
She leaves behind two sisters, Priscilla Goodman (Jerry) of Woodruff and Carolyn Montoya of Henderson, Nev.; two brothers, Gerald Montoya (predeceased) (Vicky) of Henderson, Nev., and Mattie Jr. (predeceased) of Holbrook; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews, as well as all the loving family and friends that have been in her life.
Services were held on December 18 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Laughlin. Mom was laid to rest with her daughter and our sister Renee on Dec. 28 at Palm Mortuary in Henderson.
Rest in peace mom our beautiful guardian angel. “We love you more.”
