Snowflake’s boys’ team picked up their first regular season win on the road in Tuba City on Thursday with a 73-53 win over the Warriors from the 3A north region. The Lobos scored well early, pouring in 21 points in the opening frame and they were strong on defense as well, allowing just eight. Tuba scored better in the second but still trailed 36-25 at the half. Snowflake extended their lead in the third and finished off the game with 19 points in the fourth securing the 20-point win.
The following night the Lobos returned home to host Northwest Christian. The Lobos played tough but came up short in a 54-41 home court loss to the Crusaders.
Snowflake will return to the court after the break with two tough road trips. On Jan. 6 they travel to Whiteriver to face the Falcons, then the next day they will make the long trip to Thatcher to take on the Eagles. Snowflake is currently 4-5 overall on the season. They are 1-3 in regular season play.
