Much like the boys team, the Lady Wildcats have been busy in the past two weeks. They opened their season with five games at the Boyd Baker Tournament, then played another five games this past weekend at the Williams Route 66 Classic. In between both tourneys they had a regular season game with Northland Prep, which took place on Tuesday with Joseph City prevailing in Flagstaff by a final of 54-25.
The team carried that momentum into the weekend where they went unbeaten, picking up five wins. Joseph City took care of Basis Flagstaff 47-11, and San Pasqual 56-17, both on Thursday. On Friday they handled Seligman 27-9, then shut down St. David 41-32 in what was their closest game of the tournament.
Joseph City closed out the tournament with a 47-29 win over Williams on Saturday afternoon.
With their overall record now standing at 9-2, the Wildcats will be playing regular season games the rest of the way. After traveling to Flagstaff to face Basis on Monday they will host Grand Canyon on Friday, then travel back to Williams on Saturday. Next Tuesday the Lady Wildcats are slated to host Mogollon.
