Land was All-Regional and All-State track and field champion in the 100-meter, 200-meter and running long jump. Land excelled on the grid iron where he was named first team with All-Region, All-State and All-American honors. He represented the State of Arizona in the “Down Under Bowl” in Australia where he was named Most Valuable Player. Land attended and played football for Arizona State University.
