Cheryl Dawn Hendricks Cheryl Dawn Hendricks passed away peacefully on Aug. 28, 2021. She was born on Oct. 24, 1943, in Grand Rapids and raised in Sand Lake, Mich. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Owens Livingston Mortuary Holbrook Chapel, located at 409 N. 1st Ave. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, at the Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1127 Helen Ave., in Holbrook, with an additional viewing from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in the Holbrook Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty J. Skutt; her father, Gordon E. Skutt; her sister, Gaylynn Layman; and her son, John F. Hendricks Jr. She is survived by her sons, Michael G. Hendricks and Jay P. Hendricks; her daughters, Betty J. Mello and Kimberly M. Hendricks; her siblings, Dianne Pender (her husband, Timothy Pender) and Michael G. Skutt (his wife, Lee Anne Skutt); she has 16 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had a strong passion for family history. She was a wonderful, kind and caring, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed “until we meet again.” Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
