Saxton Projects and Cannabrook University brought a lot of joy to local kids on June 12, with the 2021 Cuffs vs Hoses Softball charity event that included a day-long experience with professional athletes Jamir Miller with the Arizona Cardinals, Jabari Brown with the Los Angeles Lakers and Lenny Jones with the San Francisco 49ers. For the hoop shoot, Axton Baldonado and Nikki Gurule won the hoop shoot for the 5 to 9 age group and got to play one-on-one with Jabari Brown from the Lakers. Patrick Cassidy and Kyson Lunt won the MVP for the 10 to 16 age group for the football event where Lenny Jones chose two special kids for this award and was all-time quarterback for the kids. The entire event raised $4,202.50 that Saxton Projects and Cannabrook University was able to donate and help out Holbrook Youth Basketball, Holbrook Youth Football and Cheer, and the Holbrook Lady Roadrunners Travel Softball team. “We were excited to do this event and Saxton Projects and Cannabrook University will continue to join forces to keep surprising the entire town of Holbrook to continue to help the youth! There will be more to come!” stated organizer Mark Saxton Jr.
