By Greg Perkins The Lady Wildcats had a rough week dropping all three games they played with each loss coming by at least 10 runs. Playing a doubleheader in Round Valley on Monday they were shut out in the first game 10-0. The game was competitive through the first four innings with the Elks leading just 2-0, but in the bottom of the fifth, the home team erupted for eight runs putting the game away. The second game was also close through four frames. Joseph City scored three runs to open the game, and trailed just 4-3 after three innings. Round Valley moved in front 8-3 after five innings then put the game out of reach with six runs in the bottom of the sixth winning the game 14-4. Hosting Williams on Tuesday, things really didn’t go well for the hometown Cats. The Lady Vikings pummeled Joseph City 24-5 in five innings. With the three losses, the Lady Wildcats saw their season record drop to 5-6 overall. On Thursday they will travel to face Mohave-Accelerated. Saturday will be a home-field doubleheader with Fredonia. On Monday they will have to travel to Williams for a rematch with the Vikings. Joseph City entered this week ranked sixth in power points.
