By Greg Perkins Competing on Saturday at the Safford Rotary meet Holbrook’s track teams enjoyed warmer weather with a few solid individual performances. In the women’s 100-meter dash, Talynn Spencer was 36th; Terry Nez, 37th; and Shan Footracer, 40th. In the 400-meter, Mylee Demuth finished 14th. In the 800-meter, Abigayle Nez was 10th; Raelle Yazzie, 14th; and Mylee Demuth, 15th. In the 1,600-meter, Abigayle Nez was third and Raelle Yazzie finished ninth. In the 300-meter hurdles, Kelly Hill placed fifth. In the discus, Terry Nez was 23rd and Shan Footracer finished 27th. In the shot put, Nez placed 21st and Footracer was 26th. In the boys’ 100-meter Kyle Jones placed ninth; Kyle Smith, 37th; and Nyles Becenti finished 44th. In the 200-meter, Kyle Jones was fourth; Joshua Pack, 14th; Kyle Smith, 28th; and Nyles Becenti was 38th. In the 400-meter, Joshua Pack was fourth; Kyle Jones, sixth; Preston Edwards, 20th; and Reid Nez finished 38th. In the 800-meter run, Damien Clark placed sixth; Preston Edwards, seventh; and Kenneth Nez was 22nd. In the 1,600-meter run, Damien Clark was eighth; Kenneth Nez, 13th; Damon Attakai, 32nd; and Tristen Attakai was 44th. In the 3,200-meter run, Damon Attakai was fourth and Loren David finished 16th. In the discus, Jace Allison was 28th; Slade Allison, 38th; and Ben Meeks placed 44th. In the shot put, Jace Allison was 34th; Ben Meeks, 44th; Slade Allison, 45th; and Mason Hawk placed 46th.
