Volleyball Holb

By Greg Perkins The Lady Roadrunners’ entire regular season volleyball campaign is just five weeks long this year due to COVID-19. With only two of those weeks remaining Holbrook is still searching for their initial varsity win. After dropping their first two matches, Aaron LaRose’s team fell to Snowflake in three games on Oct. 8. Hoping to pick up their first win of the season while hosting Winslow on Oct. 13, the Lady Birds fell short losing in three games, 25-17, 25-18 and 25-22. This past Thursday Holbrook welcomed in Payson and again they came up short losing in three games, 25-18, 25-16, and 25-22. After hosting Show Low on Monday, Holbrook will have just four matches left on their schedule. The team will play in Blue Ridge on Tuesday, then will have a quick return match with the Cougars, this time in Show Low on Thursday. Next week they will close out their regular season by hosting Snowflake on Tuesday, then will make the short trip to Winslow for their season finale on Oct. 29.
