By Greg Perkins The Lobo boys soccer team opened their season on Sept. 16, with a 5-3 home field win over Round Valley. Two days later they improved to 2-0 with a 3-0 shut out road win at St. Johns. Playing at Show Low on Sept. 23, they suffered their first set back of the season with a 1-2 loss to the Cougars. The following day the Lobos played host to what is always a tough team, Chino Valley. Snowflake battled the Cougars tough, handing them their only loss of the season thus far with a 3-2 Lobo win. On Wednesday the Lobos fell to Blue Ridge 1-3 bringing their early season record to 3-2. Snowflake is slated to play in Holbrook on Wednesday this week, then will have a week off to prepare for a home field match up with St. Johns on Oct. 14.
