By Greg Perkins Due to a late start to the season, the Lady Roadrunners saw their first action of the season last week. On Wednesday they traveled to Payson where Aaron LaRose’s young team played well but fell short against the Longhorns in three games, 13-25, 22-25 and 22-25. Hosting Blue Ridge the following day Holbrook didn’t play as well losing the match in three straight games, 8-25, 14-25 and 8-25. Holbrook’s game with Show Low scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed to Oct. 19. The Roadrunners will play in Snowflake on Thursday this week. Next Tuesday they are slated to host Winslow.
