The Lobos raised their overall 3A ranking to seventh before winning their third of three games played last week. Snowflake put together a solid week beginning with a 53-44 home court win over Blue Ridge on Tuesday.
Playing at Payson two days later they outscored the Longhorns 18-2 in the second quarter, which propelled them to a 69-37 road win.
Saturday was a long road trip to Kayenta in which the Lobos were rewarded with a 50-47 win over the Mustangs.
That win moved Snowflake’s regular season mark to 8-2 and pushed the Lobos’ current win streak to four games. They were ranked seventh prior to that game, and when the new rankings are released on Tuesday they could find themselves even higher. Overall the Lobos are now 13-8.
After hosting another top 10 team, Holbrook on Tuesday night, the Lobos will play at Show Low on Friday. Next Wednesday they will play at Winslow against the highly ranked Bulldogs.
