Wins have been hard to come by this season for the Lady Wildcats, but Joseph City has put together a two-game winning streak thanks to victories over Mayer and Ash Fork in games played over the weekend.

Hosting the Mayer Wildcats on Friday, the hometown Lady Cats prevailed 46-34. They took that momentum to Ash Fork/Seligman on Saturday and kept things going with a 30-27 road win over the Spartans. With those two wins the Lady Wildcats improved their overall record to 4-16 and pushed their regular season mark to 3-9. Joseph City entered Friday’s game ranked 31st in the 1A rankings. While the two weekend wins will certainly move them up in the standings, they may still need to win each of their six remaining games to have any chance at post-season play.
