By Greg Perkins Holbrook’s football team ended the season on a sour note. They were unable to field a team for the second time in three weeks and thus their scheduled game with Show Low on Friday had to be canceled. Holbrook won their first game of the year this season, but since that week, they lost all six games they played. The team did have to cancel two games, to Show Low and to Snowflake three weeks ago. Holbrook’s football program now has more questions than answers when it comes to having a team next season. Fortunately, for Show Low, who agreed to the cancellation, the Cougars were not impacted by the lack of a game. They entered the week ranked 16th, and actually moved up one position to No. 15 for the first round of the state playoffs, which begin on Friday night. Show Low will have to travel to Yuma to take on second ranked Yuma Catholic.
