By Greg Perkins With three wins last week the Lady Lobos added to their already impressive overall number one ranking at the 3A level in the state pushing their regular volleyball season record to 16-0 with only two matches left. On Tuesday of last week Snowflake took care of Payson in three games 25-21, 25-23 and 25-20. Two days later they had little problems handling Holbrook winning the match in three games. Saturday was a trip to a tough Monument Valley team. The Mustangs have traditionally been one of the better volleyball teams in the state but this year Snowflake is the better unit. The Lobos did lose the second game, but still came away with a 3-1 overall win. Snowflake will host Show Low on Tuesday and will remain home to host Winslow on Thursday to close out the regular season. The Lobos should be the number one overall seed when the 3A Volleyball state tournament begins on Nov. 2 in Phoenix.
