The Lobo boys team entered this week ranked ninth in the 2A rankings and they will need to climb into the top eight before the end of the season in order to qualify for the state tournament. The Lobos currently have a record of 4-2-1. After playing at Show Low today (Wednesday) they will host Desert Christian on Saturday. Next Tuesday the Lobos will host Page, then they will travel to St. Johns on Wednesday.
The Lady Lobos soccer team is vying for one of only four state playoff positions. In the 2A fall soccer season just four teams make the post season. Only the two region winners are guaranteed playoff births so if the Lobos can’t win the region they will need to get into the top four in the rankings.
