The Lady Wildcat volleyball team currently sits at 1-6 in regular season matches. They dropped a double-header contest in St. Michaels on Sept. 11, losing both matches by a 3-1 final outcome.
The Wildcats were busy this past weekend playing in the Spartan Volleyball Classic where they played eight matches. On Friday the Lady Cats dropped all five matches losing to Ash Fork/Seligman, Camp Verde, Hopi once and Williams twice.
Day two of the tournament on Saturday was a different story. After beginning the day with a forfeit win over Shot Prep in the morning, Joseph City defeated Grand Canyon and Hopi. Their final game was a close loss to Ash Fork/Seligman.
That Spartan team was their regular season opponent on Tuesday when they traveled to Ash Fork. On Friday they will host the Basis School from Flagstaff. Next Tuesday, Joseph City will host rival Mogollon.
