Joseph City’s softball team entered the 1A State playoffs on Saturday, April 28, on a losing skid of five games. Things didn’t get much better for them in the opening round, although they played a close game with higher seeded Hayden before losing 7-3.
The Lady Wildcats dropped their final regular season game at Williams on April 24, of last week by a final of 15-7. Despite that loss they still entered the 1A bracket as the 11th seed and had to face sixth seeded Hayden in the opening round. That four run loss brought the Wildcat season to a close.
Joseph City finished the season with an overall record of 6-19.
