The 3A east region teams didn’t fare real well at the Wolves Classic Baseball tournament held in Goodyear with games played Thursday through Saturday. The Winslow Bulldogs went 1-3 in their four games. Holbrook also went 1-3 with their win coming over region mate Snowflake. The Lobos went 0-4 in their four games.

For the Bulldogs, they fell to Ridgefield, Calif., on Thursday by a final of 11-7. Friday’s first game was a 24-18 loss to region foe Payson in a slugfest. The second game on Friday was a 9-5 loss to the host team Estrella Foothills. On Saturday morning Winslow picked up their only victory of the tournament with a 16-10 win over Combs.

Only three weeks remain in the regular season and for the Bulldogs they have seven games remaining. Each of those games will count towards the power rankings where the Bulldogs were ranked 16th with a 7-4 record heading into this week. After hosting Snowflake on Tuesday, the Dawgs will play at Page on Thursday then be on the road again at Blue Ridge on Friday. Next Tuesday they host Payson.
