The Bulldogs split their two games played last week with a 5-0 home field shut out over Blue Ridge on Monday backed up by a 6-4 loss at Payson on Friday.

The split moved their regular season record to 7-3 and left them ranked 15th in the 3A rankings at the beginning of this week. After hosting eighth ranked Holbrook on Tuesday they will join the Roadrunners and several other area teams at the Wolves Classic in Goodyear at the close of the week. Next Tuesday they will host Snowflake.

Winslow out hit Payson 8 to 5, but those eight were scattered and produced just the four runs. Jacob Guerrero went 2 for 3, with a double; Jalen Lyons was 1 for 4, with a double; Villanueva went 1 for 3, as did Solomon Setalla, Alec Williams and Vizcaya; and Huerta was 1 for 4.
