Snowflake’s track teams were in action at the highly competitive 78th Nike Chandler Rotary meet held at Chandler High School on Friday and Saturday. The Lobos joined over 100 other teams at the large meet.
While team scores were not kept, individual events were held with many Lobo athletes faring well in their respective events.
In the boys 100 meter dash, Brigden Turley was 85th; Layton Hoopes, 96th; and Mason McKinley, 102nd.
In the 200 meter, Turley placed 100th; and Luke Patterson was 120th.
In the 400 meter, Ryan Kay was 40th; Miles Bahe, 59th; and Scott Bloomfield 111th.
In the 800 meter, Ryan Kay placed 33rd; Bahe, 67th; and Bloomfield, 116th.
In the 1600 meter, Tanner Austin was 105th; and Daniel Peterson, 149th.
In the 3200 meter, Kaden Clark placed 82nd; and Heber Espinoza Gonnie, 97th.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Jake Hall placed second; and Braden Weech, third.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Weech was second; and Jared Fusselman, 75th.
Turley, Dylan Kay, Weech, and Layton Hoopes placed 10th in the 4×100 meter relay.
Weech, Bahe, Dallin Hipps and Ryan Kay were seventh in the 4×400 meter relay.
Kay, Austin, Keaton Flake and Bahe were fourth in the 4×800 meter relay.
In the shot put, Bradly Ruiz was 13th; Jordan Patton, 23rd; and Kevin Ruiz, 84th.
In the discus, Garret Wood was 29th; Bradly Ruiz, 40th; and Brennan Beatty placed 86th.
In the high jump, Hipps placed second.
In the pole vault, Benjamin Lara was sixth.
In the long jump, Hall placed first overall with a distance of 21-05; and Jared Fusselman was 18th.
In the triple jump, Hall placed first with a distance of 43-04; Dallin Hipps was second; and Jared Fusselman was 15th.
In the girls 100 meter dash, Brettleigh Wilson was 62nd; Emily Ballard, 66th; and Caitlyn King, 112th.
In the 200m, Wilson was 68th; and King placed 74th.
In the 400 meter, Chloe Lyman placed 42nd; and Wilson was 66th.
In the 800 meter, Mignon Ritz was 11th; BaiLee Flake, 28th; and Halli Wood was 47th.
In the 1600 meter, Wood was 56th; Hannah Nichols, 58th; and Maggie Shumway was 91st.
In the 3200 meter run, Mignon Ritz placed 25th.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Elaine Zook was fifth; Lyman, 39th; and Faith Rogers was 45th.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Zook placed fourth; and Rogers was 28th.
Rogers, Zook, Katlyn Papa and Lyman finished fifth in the 4×100 meter relay.
Rogers, Zook and Chloe Lyman placed fourth in the 4×400 meter relay.
Wood, Shumway, Nichols and Ritz, finished first in the 4×800 meter relay with a combined time of 10:40.63.
In the shot put, Erin Willis was second; Marquisha Nez was sixth; and Jessica Neff, 10th.
In the discus, Willis was fourth; Camaria Reidhead, 15th; and Papa was 16th.
In the high jump, Rebecca Gresko placed second; Emily Ballard was seventh; and Willis, 14th.
In the pole vault, Jaylee Powers was first, clearing 8-03; and Natalya Lyman placed fifth.
In the long jump, Emily Ballard was third; Reagan Olson, seventh; and Trystan Hancock, 27th.
In the triple jump, Powers was 12th; and Hancock, 17th.
