Manuel Cruz Romero was born July 7, 1951, and died Jan. 1, 2018. A Catholic rosary will be held at 2:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook. Manuel was a former resident of Holbrook. At the time of his death he was residing in the Village of Oak Creek/Sedona. He liked fishing, camping and wood carving. He enjoyed listening to music and riding bicycles. Anyone who knew him can remember his cheerful smile and laugh. Manuel is survived by his daughters, Jeannette Romero and Shalayne Romero-Rodriguez; four brothers, Raymond, John, Joseph and Anthony; sister, Diana; four granddaughters and two grandsons. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Torivia Romero; his wife, Lorraine Ray Romero; and daughter, Stephanie Lynn Romero.
