David Lee Joe, 73, of Joseph City passed away on Dec. 22, 2017, at his home with his family and grandchildren by his side. Funeral services were held on Dec. 28, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Joseph City. Interment was at the Joseph City Cemetery. David was born July 14, 1944, in Ganado to parents Harvey and Mary Joe. He grew up in Gray Valley and enjoyed being in the outdoors. Together with his family, he fished, camped, hunted, explored and did sightseeing. He also enjoyed seeing other parts of our beautiful country including Washington D.C., Charleston, S.C., and many parts of Texas. He is survived by his wife, Susie Joe; daughter, Shawnee (Ernie) Garvin; son-in-law, David Kenton; nine granddaughters; one great grandson; one great granddaughter; sister, Juanita Sandoval; and three brothers, James Joe, Lewis Joe and Charles Joe. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Kenton and his parents. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled the arrangements.
