The Snowflake Lady Lobos have compiled an overall volleyball record of 25-6, according to their stats on MaxPreps, but the most important part of that record is their regular season mark of 6-0, which ranked them No. 1 in the 3A power point rankings unveiled early last week.
The Lobos have racked up 19 of those wins in three tournaments, including several at the Monument Valley Tournament held over the weekend.
Prior to playing in Kayenta, Snowflake defeated Round Valley in three straight games on Wednesday of last week, pushing that regular season mark to 6-0.
With their three tournaments now behind them, the Lobos will focus on East Region play beginning with Tuesday’s match at Winslow. On Thursday, Sept. 28, they host Payson and on Tuesday, Oct. 3, they will be in Holbrook. Of their 11 regular season matches remaining, 10 will be against East Region foes. Only their trip to Monument Valley, currently ranked fourth, on Oct. 14 will be outside of region play. Blue Ridge appears to be the only team in the East with a chance to be a roadblock to the Lobos’ region title hopes.
