Both Holbrook soccer teams head into this week still searching for that elusive first regular season win.
The boys’ team played twice last week, losing both matches at home. On Wednesday, Round Valley bettered the Roadrunners 8-1. Saturday morning Snowflake came to Roadrunner Stadium and left with an 8-1 win.
The Roadrunners will travel to Show Low today (Sept. 20), then return to the road on Friday, Sept. 22, for a match at Ash Fork, where they may be able to pick up that initial win. On Monday, Sept. 25, they will host Payson.
The Lady Roadrunners were in Show Low last Tuesday and returned home with a 7-0 loss.
After playing at Snowflake on Tuesday, they will travel south once again on Thursday, Sept. 21, for a match up with Blue Ridge. This coming weekend, the Lady Birds will play in the Thunder at the Dome tournament in Round Valley. They are scheduled to play Northland Prep on Friday, Sept. 22, then take on Round Valley and Page on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Both Holbrook teams enter this week with 0-4 overall records.
