Photo courtesy of the Old Trails MuseumA cast of Winslow railroad characters, including (left to right) “Soup” Chambers, Bob Cahil, Oliver Hardy, Rex Haney and “Moqui” Hasten, hang out in Gallup waiting for their trains in the 1970s. For many years every railroader had a nickname bestowed upon him by his fellow workers. The more memorable ones include “Ewe” Hodge, “Bowtie” Boggan, “Bishop” Randall, “Saturday Night” Griffith and “FooFoo” Webb.
