Despite having just a 4-5 regular season record the Lady Wildcats of Joseph City entered this week’s action ranked sixth in the 1A power points. Their high ranking is primarily due to their overall strength of schedule, which is the second toughest in the top 10 and toughest among the top nine teams in the rankings.
Last Tuesday the Wildcats fell at home to Williams in a high scoring game in which Vikings prevailed 17-14.
Joseph City bounced back two days later, sweeping both games of a doubleheader against Alchesay. The Cats took the first game 11-1, then dominated game two, 20-7.
After playing at Mogollon on Tuesday, the Wildcats will travel to Eagar today (April 12) to face Round Valley. On Thursday they hit the road again, this time for a doubleheader in Mayer. Next Tuesday the ladies will host Mogollon.
