Photo courtesy of the Navajo County Historical SocietyAlthough improvements and changes have been made over time, including many in the last five years, the grandstands at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook as they appeared in 1929 are clearly recog-nizable as the forerunner of the current grandstands. In the late 1920s the fairgrounds was a popular social gathering point for residents from all over the region who traveled to Holbrook to watch rodeos and attend dances.
